I've been to Chubbs a few times, and the food is usually great, with excellent service. However, my experience last night was so disappointing that I've decided not to return.

As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly host who seated us. The manager even stopped by to pour water and mentioned that our server would be with us shortly. Then came Sophie C., and unfortunately, her demeanor completely changed the tone of the evening.

Sophie took our order without much engagement, and while the food and drinks arrived quickly, we were surprised at how rushed the entire experience felt--we were there for only about 30 minutes. When Sophie asked if we needed anything else, we mentioned wrapping our food but explained we were still enjoying our drinks. Her irritated tone and dismissive attitude were uncalled for, but we brushed it off.

What truly shocked us was when she returned and abruptly threw the bill on the table. My husband mentioned wanting another drink, and Sophie rudely told us we would need to go to the bar because she needed us to pay so she could leave. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

To make matters worse, as we finished up, Sophie stood at the register with another individual, laughing and looking in our direction. We felt completely disrespected.

This review isn't just for Sophie--management needs to address this. If a server is nearing the end of their shift, they should not take on new tables unless they're prepared to offer the same level of service as everyone else. Sophie appears young and likely needs training if she plans to continue working in customer service.

Unfortunately, this experience has left such a bad impression that I will not be returning to Chubbs. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to prevent others from experiencing what we did.
