We drove grom out of town to eat for my husbands birthday. Service was speedy and great. Food was amazing cant wait to go again

My husband and I drove from out of town to eat at El Camino before visiting a friend in the nursing home there. We arrived at 11:07 am to the restaurant and there were approximately 10 other guests there when we were seated. Another family arrived right behind us and were seated next to us in the restaurant. After watching the other family be greeted, served chips and sauce, drinks and asked if they were ready to order, I asked if we could get served as well since we had arrived before them. The waitress was a nervous wreck, acted like she hadn't walked past us for the prior 10 minutes and finally after 12 minutes of waiting, another person brought us chips and drinks. We eventually placed our order and waited for our salad...LEAFY LETTUCE in a SALAD ???new one for me...I should have walked out at this point!
We sat for 43 minutes waiting for our food--43 minutes for food that tasted like it had been taken from a can! I was furious by this point and tasted most everything on the plate but pushed my plate back and excused myself from the restaurant. The owner ? manager? never even looked our direction the entire time of our stay.
We have frequented this restaurant for YEARS prior but had not been a customer for about the past two years. I will NEVER go back...It was $27.00 for the worst meal I have ever had.
