Walking into this cafe felt like stepping back into the 1960s, with original decor that gave off a nostalgic vibe, and a view overlooking the pool where a mix of swimmers braved the chilly 55-degree weather. The generous Cobb salad I ordered was delicious, especially with their fresh ranch dressing, though the service was a bit lacking as my waitress hurried through my visit and I had to get my own coffee refill. Despite that, the food was consistently good across multiple visits, with friendly staff and a comfortable, old-fashioned atmosphere that made me want to return.

Love this place. I've been living here just over a year and this is the only good American-style casual sit-down place in DHS. Best vegetable soup around (the house soup served daily; along with one alternate selection). Portions are generous and staff is nice and friendly. Even when they're over-run with customers and it takes a little longer to get your order, it's worth the wait. For many people this is the "go to place" for honest fare at a modest price.

With DHS over-run with so many fast-food chains, it's nice to have a true old-fashioned family-friendly place right in town.
