The food at The Sand Bar exceeded my expectations, especially the fried scallop Caesar salad which was incredibly delicious. The bartenders are skilled professionals, and despite initial concerns about how non-locals might be perceived, the patrons at the bar were welcoming and friendly. The value for money at The Sand Bar is exceptional, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots on Vinalhaven with its charming atmosphere, great service, and delicious food offerings.
