One Star - Miserable Experience at Cork and Batter Roadhouse: Freezing, Rude, and Completely Unprofessional

I was visiting town and decided to try Cork and Batter Roadhouse-and I seriously regret it. From the minute I walked in, the temperature was absolutely freezing. I'm not talking a little chilly-I mean arctic-level cold. I asked the staff three times to turn down or shut off the air conditioning because I was visibly uncomfortable, and my food was getting cold before I could even finish it.

Each time, I got the same fake response: "We'll take care of it." Spoiler alert: they didn't. Nothing changed, and to make it worse, the manager never came by-not once. I asked specifically to speak to them, and they never showed their face. Zero accountability. Zero effort.

The staff were not only unhelpful, but blatantly rude. I was treated like I was being difficult just for asking not to be frozen out of the dining experience. They acted like my repeated requests were an inconvenience rather than something any decent restaurant should handle without question.

As a first responder, I can tell you this: when someone has to ask more than once for something important, bad things tend to happen. In my world, delayed action can mean the difference between life and death. While this situation clearly isn't life-or-death, the principle still stands: when someone expresses a serious concern, especially more than once, ignoring them is inexcusable.

Cork and Batter Roadhouse clearly doesn't care about guest comfort or basic customer service. I won't be returning, and I'll be warning anyone I know who comes through this town to steer clear. Cold food, cold atmosphere, and even colder staff.
