I've attended live performances by renowned musicians like David Bromberg and Rick Danko at this venue. During the day, one can also engage in shuffleboard games with the elderly patrons. In the past, I frequented this establishment with friends, but as I've grown older, I now appreciate quality music experiences that may come at a higher price point. The bar, located near The Linda, offers a bright atmosphere, ample parking, and a friendly crowd that includes a mix of age groups, with a recent shift away from being solely a college hangout. The new owner has made significant efforts to book diverse musical acts, both local and national, while also offering a commendable selection of beers and specials. My recent visits to Pauly's for events like the Sunday blues tribute and Joe Louis Walker's show have been enjoyable, despite the cozy setting that can get crowded during performances. With its rich history dating back to its rumored past as a brothel, this long-standing establishment exudes a classic blues bar vibe and continues to attract both music lovers and those seeking a piece of local history.
