A friend and I decided to have lunch at Molly MacPheason’s Restaurant. It’s an hour drive from my home. This would be my first visit.
We were seated immediately on shying the building.
The waiter took our order. I ordered a Ruben on white. When it arrived, it was on rye. While waiting for the waiter who took our order to reappear,
(someone else had brought our plates) my friend had placed some of his fish on my plate for me to try. The waiter appeared abd wanted me to give him my plate.I explained the fish I wanted to save. Well… before it was all over, the waiter, the person who brought the plate had all engaged in “my” conversation and we suddenly became the center of attention in the restaurant. I asked if I could give the mismade sandwich to my friend, they said only if I paid for two sandwiches.well… the woman that brought the plates began saying the mistake was her fault and she wanted to explain what had happened. I told her I would prefer not to hear, and she smarter off with “if you don’t care, then I Don!’t either”. Finally the waiter brought my sandwich. Our table was not revisited until time to give us our bill. I found out the woman that made the comments to me was in fact one of the owners. I found her to be intrusive and rude. I explained it was my first visit and would it would certainly be my last! And to think I drove an hour both ways to have a lousy meal! Regarding the food. It was nothing to write home about.
