Stopped by for a quick breakfast bite and tried a Mexicali style hotdog for the first time, similar to the ones in LA. It was bacon-wrapped, garnished with onion and cilantro, and had a delicious sauce and mustard spread on the bun. The hotdog came with peppers and caramelized onions on the side, and the sauce coated the caramelized onions once the hotdog was gone.
Stumbled upon an authentic taco shop with friendly staff and delicious tacos. The Al pastor was some of the best I've had, and the horchata was great. The California burrito and horchata were bomb, everything tasted fresh, but the service was a bit slow due to only having one server. Enjoyed the chill ambiance and good food at this Mexican spot, highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego for a taste of real authentic Mexican cuisine.
