We ordered a hamburger, a cheeseburger, & a salad. The burgers were burnt, falling apart & frankly were disgusting. I wasn't impressed with the salad either.

The next day I called & spoke to a woman, she apologized & asked if there was anything she could do. I said I was just calling to make them aware for future orders. She then asked if I would like 2 replacement burgers & I said sure.

My husband went to pick up the food & for some reason the woman was rude & snotty, catching my husband off guard. She started off by saying something to the effect of, if we took her to court, a judge wouldn't order her to remake the burgers. She said that their burgers are never burnt because they're cooked on the grill & that she went way out of her way to remake them. She said this is the first time anyone has complained about burnt burgers. My husband said he appreciated her remaking the burgers & that it was never meant to be that big of a deal. She continued to argue, with her attitude getting worse saying over & over saying that a judge would never order her to remake them & that were wrong. My husband finally said "Then why did you apologize to my wife & offer to remake them". The woman was so loud that the 5 or 6 customers in the bar all stopped & were staring Thus, embarrassing & upsetting my husband even more. He then grabbed the bag to leave & said "I won't ever come back. "She then said "Good, don't come back".

Later I did some research & I found out from Facebook her name is Judy Waymire. I called to speak to her as I wasn't sure what changed from when I spoke to her to the time my husband was up there. She repeatedly interrupted me & wouldn't let me speak. She told me all she said was that we needed to bring the food back. The phone then disconnected as she hung up on me. I called back because that's not how you treat customers. She refused to let me speak & told me me she had
police sitting right there. She told me she didn't care about losing my business.

I will NEVER do business with Waymire's Corner Tap, this IS NOT how you treat customers. She obviously DOES NOT care to treat people with respect. We were paying customers & we DESERVE to be treated with respect!!

had so much fun visiting this historical building - enjoying great food - the owner (there for 33 years) did it all! It will be a outing all seven of us will always remember - across the street was the Post Office (in operation since 1864), population is 800, with 3 sexual perverts - and the very nice Starke County Fairgrounds. We were there, because our granddaughter had a goat showing.
Juke box only plays one song - Johnny Cash (and the ghosts? start it randomly) - The Christmas tree is still up - and the creepy dark vacant upstairs w/6 bedrooms - where Larry Flynt lived from the age of 10 til he ran away at 16 - priceless. A customer mentions it was quite the place during the Roaring 20's - our imaginations never quit while we were there. The owner stayed open 2 hours later for us -
If you're looking for a new bathroom, or spot free glasses and silverware, don't go. But, there's top shelf alcohol, beer - the prime rib, shrimp and burgers were excellent! We didn't mind helping the owner with the random opening of the front door during a major storm, clearing dishes and going to the bar for our own drinks. It was a riot - I'd call ahead if you want prime rib -
