This beloved Anderson establishment has a long-standing reputation as a local favorite, serving up comforting Southern fare at reasonable prices. Arriving early at 10:30, we were warmly greeted by the server who offered a choice between breakfast and lunch. Opting for lunch, we were treated to generous portions of home-cooked goodness, complete with homemade biscuits or cornbread and a selection of beverages. The cafeteria-style setting exuded a nostalgic charm, and the attentive staff, including our excellent waiter Brennan, added to the overall pleasant dining experience.

This is the best restaurant ever. There food is excellent and always fresh. I used to go there to eat often me and my mom. Everyone in my family loved it. I don't get to go there now. I wish they had delivery service so I could order me some of the best food in Anderson. All the waitresses are very kind and friendly. Tommy and Jimmy Davis are the best.

I ordered a side of pancakes 2 of the 3 were over cooked. I told the waitress and she said I told her I ate 2. I was treated very rudely. One lady asked "well" did you tell them how you wanted them cooked. I didn't realize I had to tell the waitress how to have them cook a pancake. I will not return.

They didn't give us all our food last week. We got no credit for it and today the chic & dumplins are more like mashed potatoes,with one tiny piece of chicken . Disappointed

Was introduced to MamaPenn's by JAMitchell on her birthday - Aug. 16. Food was delicious, service was great and a perfect place to celebrate a birthday or whatever. I will definitely visit when I return to Anderson.
