Casa Nueva in Uptown Athens has been a favorite of mine since my college days at OHIO, serving up fresh, tasty Mexican dishes like the Albany Clucker Quesadilla paired with their amazing verde salsa and perfectly crafted margaritas. The vibe is cozy and lively with local artwork, a bustling bar featuring local drinks, and live music nights that always keep the energy just right-not too loud, just enough to make you want to stay a while. What really stands out is their employee-owned, no-tipping policy that ensures staff are paid living wages, making every visit feel good for the soul as well as the stomach.
