The food here is consistently excellent, with generous portions and authentic flavors that remind me of the best Mexican dishes from San Diego. Service moves quickly-sometimes a bit rushed-but the staff is friendly and efficient, making it a reliable choice whether dining in or grabbing takeout.

Like all restaurants of this ilk, the prices can't be beat, and El Campesino's food is consistently delicious, and of course, the service is incredibly fast. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, but that may be because I have an emotional attachment, as it was the very first "authentic" Mexican restaurant I visited when I was in high school.
