Having a background in food chemistry and restaurant operations I am very aware of the dangers associated with cross-contamination and food borne illnesses. On August 12, 2011 I purchased vegetable soup from this business, which contains raw vegetables. The same worker that took my and other customers money started making my soup without first washing her hands. She grabbed several pieces of raw vegetables and put them in the stock. At that time I told her to stop and wash her hands before cooking . Her response was, "Hot broth will cook food, food will be okay". My response was, "No, you should always wash your hands after you touch money." Her next and last statement was, "My hands clean, I give you your money back you leave. The most surprising and disheartening thing for me was fact that she refused to wash her hands and I had patronized that establishment for several years.
