Loved rating there! Food is delicious and plenty. Family atmosphere not rowdy. Very friendly . Been there in past and looking forward to going this weekend with our church group..

If you like home style cooking, then this is the place for you! The people are friendly, the atmosphere is great..If you get there around 12 on sunday you might have to wait, because of the church crowd..I have been many times with family and will go back many more.....The food is great, best fried chicken in the country, all of the food is very good! Peach cobbler for dessert...They do have a small salad bar with pickled watermelon rind,coleslaw,etc..also a stainless pitcher with ice cold buttermilk,,now folks,,, that is country fixins! ;) hehe...I have seen where people complain about the seating, because of sitting at a table with strangers. I have no problem with that because to me a stranger is a friend I haven't met! I have set at a table with strangers many times while there, and enjoyed it! I would give more stars if they were available..GREAT PLACE TO EAT!

The atmosphere is laid back and unassuming. If you are looking for big city style, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for good home-cooking, this is the place! Many people literally drive several hours to eat here. You will see church groups seated next to bikers, next to yuppies! The menu only changes with the veggies in season, or the fruit in season. If you like really good fried chicken, ckn & dumplins, greens, beans, etc. this is the place for you, because that's the entire menu! But so worth the drive. About $10-11 for adults, less for kids and seniors. Be sure and check out the gift shop/museum next door. Happy eating!!
