Hadn't been to Chili's in awhile. I did the pick 3. My husband did fajitas and the kids did burgers and pizza. The food took long, but I chalked it up to it being busy. I noticed a lot of people who were done with their food and having issues with their bill and the food not being up to par. I overheard the staff becoming overwhelmed and the manager trying to calm them down. They were short cooks and have lots of new waitstaff. With that being said, my burger was black and had no special Chili's sauce on it. My fries and my kid's fries were old and dried out. My food was cold. My husband's beer never showed up. I had the wrong bill a few times. Our waitress was very sweet. It took. 1.5 hours to get our food. For a grand total of $49 before tip. I should've ate at home, but we wanted to go out and treat my family. I was more annoyed that it took long and the food was gross $50 for gross food I know first world problems. My son's burger was black and pink in the middle. That tells me the heat is too high and cooked the outside before the inside. As a manager, I would be helping my cooks since they were short. I felt bad for our little waitress. She was so sweet and checked on us. I could tell she was a bit stressed. I hope her and the others night got better.
