This is one of the few down home restaurants left. The food is amazing if you like down home cooking, not a big menu but always great specials with friendly service - the catfish is the best around and pies are to die for. It is not a high class place but casual and dynamic in it own way. I love this place and eat there often with family and friends

This place is a craphole. I found mouse droppings in my food and asked to speak with the owner. Some old hag named Mattie came to the table and disrespected me calling me a liar. I won't be back. Horrible.

My family frequents Mattie's, we love it! The service is impeccable and friendly; your treated like family from the moment you walk in until you leave.Children are especially loved and welcome.The food is great! The mood is happy and carefree.The Blondish/Red haired waitress in the aforementioned remark is Susie and we find her to be WONDERFUL!!! All the staff is just great.My family and I look forward to our dinners at Mattie's and hope they plan on sticking around.

My husband and I go there often. They have a waitress that does not give us good service. Beware of the waitress with the light blondess/red hair. Drinks in you lap to no drinks on the table. Yes, she will even walk by serveral times not giving any service at all. Check served very quick after she brings the food out. That is all ways a sign that she will not be back.

A great nostalgic Highway 66 restaurant and Steak House. Really good food.
World famous cream pies, fresh daily.

And on Saturday nights a live Band plays really good "Toe Tappin" country music. Great pickers.

I would go there for the pie and the music if I weren't hungry.
