I went for coneys tonight at this local spot, and Kevin and Guy were so friendly. It was a great experience, just like all the reviews said! I'll definitely be back - love it or hate it, there's nothing like a good ol' chili dog here. If you're looking to feel amazing, go for a light lunch and pair it with a salad and some bubbly water. But if you're in the mood to indulge and have a food coma, just order 8 or 9 of these bad boys with everything on 'em - you won't regret it!

Dogs are great. Company rules not so great. Sometimes I pickup several dogs for guys at work. I would get cheese and onion and jalapenos on the side for all to build their own dog. Now if I get coney's I have to make a list of how all wants theirs built. Some new rules are good this one is not. Guess I just don't get this new thinking where Coney island is going to tell me what I want..

While the food is OK, the service at this location certainly leaves much to be desired. Don't think of arriving exactly at opening -- they're never ready, and never offer an apology for opening later than their posted operating hours. Good luck in even getting a, "Thank you" for doing business with them! Maybe they should remember who really signs their paychecks (hint -- it's not the owner!).

As for hygiene, watch the person that takes your money. Is s/he also handling your food with their bare hands right after making change? Who knows where your credit card or money's been, let alone the people that paid before you! In this day and age of nasty viruses and bacteria, it certainly makes you wonder about food safety here.
