Great food!

I went to the 99 in Wilton for lunch on Tuesday August 12. I had been there I the past and always had a good experience. This visit though will probably be my last. When I walked in there was no one at the hostess stand. I asked a waitress to find someone to seat me and eventually a young woman, Asheigh, came. I told her I'd been waiting a while - she said to the waitress, "Please find this lovely lady a seat". I almost walked out, but I was ready for lunch and didn't have time to go anywhere else.

"Lovely lady"??? I am 66, and felt she was being very condescending and snarky. I finally got my seat and ordered the beef tips. They were dry and tasteless (had ordered the medium); the carrots I had with them seemed to be warmed over from the previous night. The only good thing about the meal was the strawberry lemonade.

I asked to speak to the manager when I was leaving - it turns out Ashleigh was the manager. Needless to say, unless friends I am with insist on it, I will not be eating there again.

when I go to 99 I always get the same thing. as long as it's on the menu...lobster roll....had one last night and what a disappointment...it was cold, rubbery and too wet....also not near enough butter.....
