During my time attending KU in the 1980s, this venue was the only place within hundreds of miles to catch emerging bands before they hit major cities like LA or New York. The atmosphere is laid-back with friendly staff, good acoustics, and a strong local music scene that consistently brings in great up-and-coming acts. Whether watching a concert or a basketball game, it offers a comfortable environment with a unique character that keeps me coming back whenever I'm in town.
