Located in the heart of East Hawaii, the Alibi tavern is a cozy spot with a pool table and small bar area, perfect for a quick drink or two. The friendly atmosphere and welcoming smiles from the bartender, Cheryl, make every visit a fun experience. This local hole in the wall bar, owned by a cool local couple, offers live music on Saturdays, delicious food, and a great refurbished space - a true gem in the community.

In Kaaua on the Big Island of Hawaii there is a little bar called the Alibi. As with many other out of the way places on the islands it is tucked in the corner of a small shopping center behind a Mac Donald's. I wanted to have an adult beverage and it seams that the only restaurant in Kaaua that served alcohol has closed once again. So over to the Alibi I went not sure what expect I walked in and was immediatly greeted by some of the people sitting at the newly remodeled bar counter.
I felt welcome from the start. As I had gotten to know the place and it's customers I was introduced to the owner and his wife. We have become friends in a short time. I'm so glad that I ventured out and found my new friends and a place to get a cold beer on a hot day on the islands. Aloha!
