I always joke with my kids that they were created from G&I Challah rolls, the only thing I could stomach while pregnant three decades ago. Their challah is still unbeatable, but don't miss out on their pumpernickel, onion rolls, and pecan ring - it's a step above anything store-bought. The chocolate babka and rum balls with cherries are definite favorites of mine, and their black and white cookies are a classic choice. I'm heading over there now to grab some goodies before they run out - their rye bread is a real find in a world of overpriced so-called gourmet options.
