I was there about a month ago, and it was still great to me. I love the cozy atmosphere and great food & drink and humorous menu. The beer selection is always good too. And the kitchy decor makes me smile. It is usually busy and we are seated right next to other people, but everyone knows this is how it is and it gives you a friendly intimacy with strangers that you don't get many places these days. We usually run into friends every time we go too. Good meeting place!

I am going to try and eat there this weekend, just to confirm that all is well at Circle J's.

Worst experience ever!

In town with my brothers, their families and my adult daughter for my mom's funeral. Circle J used to be one of my mom & dad's favorite places to eat. I've enjoyed a sandwich here many a time over the years. Never again!

Extremely rude waitress, apparently trying to get by on her looks alone. Although seated near bar, couldn't read all the taps. Asked what all was on tap and waitress simply waived arm at taps and moved on attempting to take other drink orders. Had to tell her I couldn't read all the handles. Ultimately got a beer. Ordered an "Eight Ball" pizza and specifically requested "without Olives", as neither one of my brother's and I just don't like them. She acknowledged request. Pizza ultimately arrived w/ olives. Finally caught waitresses attention again and pointed this out to her and said I just can't eat it, even if we attempted to pull them off. She gave an incredulous response of, "REALLY!" (very sarcastically). Never apologized and later blamed the error on the cook.

Also while attempting to get drink refills, had to ask, even though restaurant was now passed the rush and only half occupied. Waitress never made an attempt to walk around for refills, as she did for the table behind us. Just barked at us to pass the glasses down (both ways). I could live with the doing that if it was asked, but it wasn't; it was "barked". She never said any of the commonly accompanied courteous words of "Please" or "Thank you".

Cafe also extremely "Hot" inside. I finally had enough and walked out to cool off. Walked back in to complain to manager. Told my a blonde gal that the manager want' in, but she offered to listen to my complaint. We walked outside and I explained all of what happened. She never apologized and ultimately some guy with a beard and apron came out and said he was the manager. I recounted our same experience after telling him I was just told there wasn't a manager on site. He, too, never apologiezed.

I asked for the name and phone number for the owner. He refused several times. I repeated this request and said I'd wait outside as I wouldn't dare eat a remade pizza now as I couldn't trust they wouldn't intentionally spoil it in some manner. He said he'd be right back.

He never came back out. I later learned he'd give the number to one of my brothers. I called we were given for "Stephanie" (541-441-0786) and left a message. Never heard back. Called again when I got back to Seattle and left another message. Also called the Cafe and asked to Stephanie, but once again, she wasn't in. Left another message, but ultimately never heard back.

Used to be a good restaurant, but due to a staff with apparently poor upbringing, will never go back!
