Menu has changed, as have the owners, since this menu was posted. Restaurant been remodeled. It’s much cleaner that used to be but the atmosphere is gone. Food is average too terrible.

The steak was tough, mostly fat and extremely overcooked. The dinner salad was warm, wilted and some of it was even slimey! When we complained about the food they did not offer a discount, or to remake the meal, the woman said “I’m sorry“ and quickly walked away. We drink water with our meal and we couldn’t get a refill to save our lives.

I have frequented this establishment on and off for 40 years. They used to have good food, even when the place became run down and it was filthy they still had good food. NOW, The restaurant is clean though the atmosphere is very neutral or sterile. The service is absolutely terrible the food is bad. They couldn’t redeem themselves by offering to remake the meal or giving us a discount but they make us pay full price for slimy, wilted lettuce and a pile of overcook fatty steak, they deserve to be shut down.

I believe they overcharged us for our meals, Price to stay charged we’re not the same as in the menu and this is illegal! I had four employees in the restaurant behind the bar while we were dining and we couldn’t get a glass of water. It appears as though our waitress was also our cook. One person had their food for a good eight minutes before the rest of us got our main meals. The first person got hot fries, the last person got luke warm fries with their extremely over cooked, fatty, tough steak and warm, wilted, slimy salad. I have no idea how they’ve lasted this long but why anyone would give these people in the review. Extremely bad customer service!

I gave it 5 starts just so people see it!!!!! We order bugers that took 20-30 minstrel of get our food. We were the only one in there at the time. After we got out food it wasn't cooked all the way.the sever picked up trash off the ground and then tried to help us without washing her hands.

If you're looking for excellent fresh seafood and a casual eatery, go to the Sand Bar & Grill in Nye Beach. The street level floor is your basic bar and pool table joint, but don't be fooled. Upstairs is a pleasant dining room and an outside eating area with views of Nye Beach. You will be richly rewarded with heavenly buckets of steamed clams, mussels, fresh oysters, crab cakes, fish prepared several ways, and more, all served with prompt and courteous service. It's a good place for families, couples and groups of friends. Whether you are coming from the beach in your shorts and flip flops or are dressed up, it doesn't matter. Just enjoy a cool drink and some wonderful food! We can't wait to go back.
