Before heading to work, I swung by La Negra for a meal and ended up at The Service. Despite the language barrier with the workers, they were respectful and managed to communicate well enough. The place has a cozy, worn-down vibe which I found charming, and the food was decent for the price. I particularly enjoyed the juicy steak and well-crisped tostones, and the cold Coronas were a bonus. The combo meals are a great deal for delicious Dominican food without having to cook at home.
