In the mid 1950's we were students at Michigan Tech. Several of us lived in Ishpeming and went home weekends. Going back Sunday evening about 10:00 PM we would stop at George's for a beer or two or more. One would abstain as driver-navigator. It was a wonderful way to wrap up a weekend, and began a next week at the slave labor factory at the barracks by the stadium in Houghton.
