I stopped in here today finally excited to try a new coffee shop. Supposedly the Blue Room Cafe roasts their own beans as of this Summer. This was not the case. I then ordered a cafe au lait which was a menu choice. The server told me she didn't know how to make that. Steamed skim milk and coffee seems like a no brainer. I then proceeded to order a decaf coffee instead and was told they don't have decaf coffee. 0 for 3 on all counts. My husband and I walked out and ordered nothing after that. I wonder if this is a front for some other business. I read an article in The Times newspaper that the City of Hammond invested $60K to help with revitalizing the area. I'm not sure what the owner did with the money but he certainly didn't use it on roasting equipment or coffee. Don't go here. I had to give it one star because zero stars was not an option.
Try the Grindhouse Cafe in Griffith. They brew the same coffee and it's nice and strong. They even have decaf. Ha!!!

You need to make sure the tomatoes are fresh, twice the tomatoes were bad. I don't mine paying the money, but please use fresh tomatoes. Also, there are people who only eat American cheese who buy the sandwich just to pull the cheese off. Also, the tuna salad was not the greatest.
