Ever since spotting its charmingly vintage sign back in the late '80s, I've been itching to try this classic NYC Italian joint, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. From the warm welcomes and hilarious waiter Tony to the tender calamari and heavenly house-made pastas, every bite felt like a delicious trip through time. Cozying up with a cheap Chianti and a stuffed eggplant while watching a polite poodle wait for takeaway, I couldn't help but wonder which legends might have roamed these tables decades ago-definitely a place I'll be crashing again soon.
