The food at De Rice is great. The black pepper steak was delicious, and my new favorite is the Curry jumbo shrimp fried rice. We were in town for a family funeral and once we got to the hotel, going back out was not an option! This place was fast and the food was fantastic. Large portions, even though we ordered the small. My mom had enough for 2.5 full meals with the chicken egg foo young. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious, accompanied by a flavorful sauce with bits of peanut. The almond cookie was my favorite - crispy with a light almond flavor. This place was a home run for delivery, and even though it may look sketchy, the food is worth it. The House Special Tofu is the best vegetarian choice for lunch. The entree is simple yet tasty, with tofu mixed in spicy bean sauce and vegetables like black mushrooms. The Empress Family with pork was possibly my favorite dish, with large and plentiful pork pieces coated in delicious sauce. The Cantonese Black bean with beef was another standout, with sweet and flavorful green peppers, onions, and fantastic beef. De Rice is my go-to Chinese restaurant in the area, offering consistent quality and good flavor. The food is very good, with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. If you're looking for cheap Chinese takeout, this is the place to go.
