Dear Management,
During my flight back to Atlanta, my finance and I decided to stop for lunch at Stock Car Café inside Charlotte Douglas Airport. Since we had an hour and change to spare, we figured we would order our food and eat at the establishment. Upon seating, we were immediately greeted by our server Patrisha. We were very specific when asked how we would like the burger cooked? We replied, well done. This is where things started to get a little wonky!
We arrived at approximately around 7:20 and were told that our food shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes, which was fine. Our waitress was very friendly and did a good job, but I'm assuming the kitchen staff must have been understaffed. Honestly, I felt bad for the waiter because people were at their tables waiting on food for SO long that they left to catch their flight after paying for their food. To give the reader an idea, after we ordered our food, it took 1 hour before we complained about potentially missing our flight.
When we were finally able to leave, it was 8:30. Therefore, we were at the bar for an hour plus. So, we had the café to make our order to-go. As we boarded our flight at the last minute, we could not wait to open the container and enjoy the meal. My fiancé offered to share the burger. As she used the plastic ware to cut it in half, we noticed that the meat was pink and still RAW. We both were sick to our stomachs. To make matters worse, I could not exit the plane for a refund.
After making it to our destination, we decided to call (704-359-4979) the establishment (Stock Car Café, 5501 Josh Birmingham Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28208) to speak to a manager. To their luck, the phone rings. Therefore, this is a more significant issue, hence the reason in encouraged to write a review. Now, I'm hoping Management follows up to make something that could've been resolved via phone be resolved immediately since this is my only form of potential contact.
