So excited about re-opening. So dissatisfied with experience. Put our name with hostess/waitress. Told it was 1hour wait. Noticed people who arrived after me with same # in party. Got some dumb excuse after having waited 1.5 hrs. Finall got a seat, got order taken, got appetizers, thought things were looking up. One of our party was a kid, it was now 8:30pm and she was hungry. Asked 3 different people for the burger we ordered. Then asked waiter how long our order would be since we placed it over an hour, he said he did not know. The kid started crying and we all had enough. Left, went to Dairy Queen the went home. So disappointed, hope they can get it together cuz it used to be a fav place to go but people will not tolerate this kind of service.

Food, service and atmosphere left much to be desired when we visited.

Half of menu is unavailable. Place appears to be going out of business. Owners are rude.

Short lived comeback. After a couple of years of bad food, horrible service and dirty building, the Blue Boar appeared to on track for a comeback with new management. Unfortunately the come back and the new management was short lived and the place is back to its old "boring" food, staff and building.
Owners sit drunk at the bar while not noticing that out of the entire menu, only a few things are actually available. Our waitress informed us they were going out of business and that basically they were serving old food that has been in freezers. Don't even consider complaining to the owner. He is rude, fowl mouthed and unapologetic. This was our last attempt at the Blue Boar.

Are you joking. When you have to pay to eat that's when it is bad taste. So sad. Won't go there. Will tell my friends about this.
I can't rate this A big fat zeros.

The service was atrocious. The waitress forgot our drinks. The food looked old and tasted bad. It gave a stomach ache. The coffee was old. I went because a friend recommended it , but I should have paid attention to ratings. Save your money and go somewhere else.

What a joke !! Went to the Blue Boar for lunch after being at Bald Knob cross for Blessing of the Bikes. Charged us $5 each just to get into the restaurant - said it was for the music. We heard 1 song, then the first band was done and no more music before we left an hour later. The waitress said thet whoever wanted the "buffet" had to eat on the other side of the restaurant and those of us who wanted to order off the menu had to eat in the main dining room !!! The "buffet" was pulled pork/brats/cole slaw and beans. Oh, and a 2 trip limit with a little plate. WOW, all that for $7 MORE dollars !!! Then the waitress said the only menu items they were selling were sandiches and appetizers. Could NOT get their ribs, steaks or any other entrees. I had a burger and fries and tea. My wife had a sandwich, fries and coffee. The bill was $29 IN ADDITION to the freakin $10 we HAD to pay to get in. Not only will we not be back next year, we will not be eating at the Blue Boar any time, like we have before. What a shame that greed got the best of a place we USED to enjoy eating at a fe wtimes a year.
