Went there originally for a, what else, Cannoli which was very good. Saw they had Pignoli cookies which I HAD to have and the one on the top was stale and should not have been served. The underlying were very good! Since we had traveled about an hour to get there, we decided to have lunch before starting home. I got an Italian Sub which was disappointing - the so called gabagoul, looked and tasted like bologna! I asked if I could upgrade to an EXTRA SHARP provolone and it was a joke. The $ did not warrant what was served. The meat was very thin and lacking, it should have been 1/2" thick for that price! They boasted that all their stuff comes straight from Italy but hey, that does not guarantees it's going to be high quality! I could get them better stuff from NJ/NY CHEAPER and 10x's BETTER. Stopped on a second trip that was not solely to go there but rather on the way home from I.U. just to get cannolis and cookies. Once again, the cannolis were very good, hit the spot but this time they changed up the pignoli cookies where the pignolis were crumbled up and mixed in with the batter like rice crispie treats, not very appealing. Will make my own from now on.
