Maria's kitchen is what once was most likely a Dairy Queen on N. Broadway near Loudon Avenue. Not a great section of town, to be honest. It has no indoor seating (three picnic tables outdoors, though under cover, with seating for perhaps 18 total). But the food is delicious and genuinely Mexican. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is traditional. If you want fancy, you'll hate it. But if you crave delicious, authentic Mexican food, then you will fall in love with Maria's Kitchen. I've eaten there three times this week alone. I love it. It makes me feel as though I am back in Mexico sitting at an outdoor cafí©. You'll come back for the food (did I mention that it is delicious???), and eventually you will also fall in love with the casual atmosphere. What they do in that tiny kitchen is simply MAGIC. The burritos are the bomb!!!
