We have been eating at Best Thai and Sushi for years and has been one of our favorite local restaurants. Until today. We placed an order over the phone and specifically asked for extra sauce for our sushi rolls and also asked that the two sushi rolls be boxed separately, due to one person ordered a roll that had shrimp and the other person who ordered a different roll has a shellfish allergy. The person taking the order read the order back prior to hanging up.
My husband came home and opened up our meals to not only not giving us the extra sauces requested, but had both sushi rolls packaged in the same box-they did the exact opposite of what was asked (and what was repeated by the person taking our order). The clencher was when we called back to make them aware of what they did, the person we were given to to explain what happened says “they should be fine”referring to the roll with the shrimp being in the same box touching the other roll that was to be consumed by the person with the shellfish allergy!😳we demanded they remake the roll that didn’t have the shellfish. But the concern is now, that they apparantly think it’s”ok” to not treat a potentially life threatening allergy as such. I will no longer purchase the sushi I love at this restaurant as I do not trust that they will take utmost care in preparing their sushi rolls and keeping shellfish preparation seperate from that with a shellfish allergy when alerted. Very poor health and business practice and we are extremely disappointed.
