I've been in the Murphy area for about 5 years and the Chinese food options here have been a letdown. When Ingles becomes a viable takeout alternative, you know something's off. China 1 offers a buffet, but buffets aren't really my thing. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their takeout last week. The fried rice, mixed vegetables with garlic sauce, and shrimp with mixed vegetables were exceptional. They really strive to make customers happy, even when they make mistakes like forgetting part of an order. Compared to Happy Garden in Andrews, this place is a real gem. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious - what more could you want? When I was passing through Andrews on a motorcycle trip, I decided to grab dinner from China Place, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It may not be the best, but it's definitely a solid choice in the area.
