My daughter has always requested a confetti cake with confetti icing, since she was a toddler. I always make her a box cake and call it hood. This year she turned 40 l, so I decided to get a real cake from a bakery. I called at least 5 places, communicated by email with one place, and they all flaked on me. I was two days away from the party and did not have a cake. I called Cakes by Karen on Colorado Blvd. and they totally came through for me! I sent them a pic of what I had in mind and they said no problem, they would have it ready. I picked it up and it was beautiful. It was exactly what I had envisioned. It not only looked great it was delicious. This will fe my go to cane place from now on!!! Not to mention how sweet and kind everyone is! Made me the prettiest and tastiest cake for my boyfriends birthday with only a 24 hour notice. The cake was delicious and I appreciate your efficiency! Tastes way better than anything you would buy at a grocery store and the presentation is 10/10. Definitely will be coming here for as long as I live in the area!! Couldn't be happier with the customer service and delivery! I ordered my best friend a birthday cake over the phone as I live in Florida and the man I spoke with was super helpful and the cake came out much more beautiful then i expected and she loved it! Thank you guys sooooo much We love Cakes by Karen! We go here anytime we need a cake for a festive occasion, and we've never been disappointed. The cakes are delicious and the decorations have always exceeded our expectations. We just received a gorgeous cake for our daughter's birthday with little more direction than "a cake shaped like a giant cupcake with flowers and butterflies and lots of pink." Great experience! Ordered a specialty cake over the phone. I was given their email to send in a picture of what I was thinking. I received a call about my flavor selections to make sure decorations looked the best (chocolate isn't the best with blue food coloring). Cake was ready at pickup and looked fantastic! It was the highlight of the party! My family has been ordering cakes from Karen since I was a little girl. Great family business with delicious fresh cakes. That also have cupcakes and brownies if you want something on a whim. Amazing customer service and the best brownie I've ever had. It was amazing and most importantly I felt like it was made with love. I didn't eat it all in one sitting because it was so good I wanted to save it for later. I left it in the fridge over night and had it for breakfast this morning and it still tasted just as good. I ordered cupcakes for my daughters baby shower and they were as cute as her baby bump!! The cupcakes tasted amazing and were exactly what I wanted! The crew was super friendly and made ordering over the phone easy! Cost is more than reasonable and options are endless!! I just ordered a photo birthday cake from Cakes by Karen for my husband's 70th birthday. I had never even seen a photo cake before this, and was a little apprehensive. There was not need, she did a phenomenal job! Not only was the cake beautiful, but it tasted great (carrot cake is his favorite)! I will never order another cake from anywhere else. This cake was spot on! It was a 4 layer rainbow cake that was done exactly as requested at a comparable price. And the lady that helped us on the day of pickup was really nice. Everyone loved the cake! Gorgeous cake for a baby shower! I asked for a mountain theme cake and man did they deliver! And it was so delicious too!! Will definitely use them again for any special occasion cakes! I ordered a cake for my daughters 6th birthday and told them I wanted a panda theme. I had no idea what to expect. The cake blew my expectations out of the water! It was so perfect! Panda face on the cake with bamboo detail around the outside. AND it was amazingly delicious and perfectly moist. I will be getting all of my cakes here in the future. Thank you for making my daughters birthday so special! I have purchased 3 Cakes by Karen and all three were phenomenal! 1 was a rush "on hand" and 2 were custom made and all were delicious and beautiful. The most recent was pretty detailed and was special for my nephew and he was absolutely thrilled. The cost was less than 30% of another cake shop in Denver. They are now my go to for cakes for sure!
