The restaurant formerly known as Anacapa has temporarily closed for renovations, emerging as Bella Vista with a promise of a stunning revamp and a revamped menu. The anticipation for its grand reopening, slated for this winter, is palpable as the community eagerly awaits to experience the new culinary offerings and modern ambiance.

I thought since we have a new chef things would be better. I haven't notice much change. In the last week I went for lunch twice. I had the trio salad, which was suppose to be chicken salad, tuna salad and cottage cheese. The tuna and chicken salads were ok, but the portions were ridiculous (about 3 tablespoons each). And they forgot the cottage cheese. The second time I ordered the Cobb salad"¦ again the portion of chicken was small. It was cut in 1/2" size cubes and there was probably eight pieces. I get that prices have gone up. But you don' t raise prices and then cut the portions too. P.S. I am not a big eater.

In addition I called several times to make a reservation and no one answered the phone. Really! How do you run a restaurant if you don't take phone calls.

POOR.. Won't be going back.

Took the wife for Mother's day brunch. $42.00 each & I was charged 2.25 for a cup of coffee. I never got a refill, wasn't even asked if I would like one. Wife had to ask for another glass of water. The food was acceptable at best.

20 % gratuity/service charge was added to the bill, the waiter didn't deserve $5.00. Total for the two of us to have brunch was $108.00 & some change. Then they left the spot for a tip on the bill open. NOT.. Simply wasn't worth the price so we will NOT be going back. To bad, the atmosphere is very good.
