On my last night up North, returning to the JW for dinner brought a comforting familiarity, with breathtaking fall views and a menu that never fails to impress. Though a few small disappointments crept in-the missing blackberry-infused bourbon and a careless mishap that went unnoticed-the rich brie with fig and the sinful short rib rigatoni wrapped the evening in warmth and indulgence, making it a memorable farewell.

Celebrated our Anniversary on May 3 at John Wright Restaurant. Drove an hour to get there. So disappointed!! Filet was ordered Med Rare & it cam out well done! Waitress agreed it definitely was not Med Rare. Got another one. Still not cooked properly & chewy. We ordered Seafood Manicotti. The plate came out black & the food was dry. Never again & wouldn't recommend!!

On the last evening of my Northern adventure, I returned to the JW, where the stunning autumnal views paired beautifully with an exceptional menu and friendly service. While I faced a few disappointments, including the absence of my beloved blackberry-infused bourbon and an unfortunate incident with a busboy, the culinary highlights were truly memorable. The rich brie with fig and the sinful short rib rigatoni in mushroom brandy sauce transported me to gastronomic bliss, despite a few minor missteps with the table bread and a lackluster prime rib during brunch.
