The Winking Lizard in Peninsula offers a cozy and lively atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal stop after a hike or bike ride on the nearby Towpath Trail. The extensive beer selection complements a diverse menu featuring flavorful wings, fresh salads, and satisfying sandwiches, all served by friendly staff who create a welcoming vibe.

The bar offers a spacious environment with a lovely patio perfect for enjoying warmer weather. While the service can be a bit slow due to the constant business, the location's proximity to the National Park is a definite plus, although parking can be a challenge with limited open spots nearby, necessitating a walk from the Park's parking lots. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was enjoyable, particularly with the diverse menu and great beer selection to complement the lively atmosphere.
