I am writing regarding the service at Chester's/subway within the Loves Truckstop in Yuma,AZ. Stopped in on a long commute from San Diego back to central AZ with family of four. Many pit stops can be similar in their lackluster greeting by tired employees late at night. It is a brutal run of hours, so we tend to understand. The young man running Chester's on Tues Dec 29 between 8-10 pm was, pleasantly, not aware of the typical behavior of night employees. He was courteous and professional in his greetings to our family as we entered. He managed cooking and taking orders efficiently, greeting incoming and outgoing guests with a friendly smile and a welcome or a 'take care and thanks'. As we ate, he managed to run his side of the food court area (shared with Subway), pitch in for a little cleanup, and connect with guests on both sides, continuously seeming to enjoy multitasking. The other employee at Subway was no slouch, either, working efficiently and quickly. The goodwill seemed to hit all newcomers with tired truckers smiling in thanks, as well. Enjoying the break and atmosphere the young man created, we were honestly impressed with this level of work- it speaks to the work ethic and potential in the young people of Yuma. We sincerely hope this company, or another, will leverage this young man's personable nature and drive. So before we are down for the night, we wanted to make a special note of this experience. Thank you, Yuma, we will be scheduling our next stop with you again.
