Our visit, during mid-week, found that the restaurant was too noisy despite the restaurant being just 25% full; it was hard to carry on a conversation just across the table for the two of us.
The soup of the day was outstanding - that had really raised my hope that we had found a hidden jewel of a restaurant; but....
Both of us ordered the pan seared scallops. We both found the dish much too salty. While that is one way to remove the excess water from a scallop in order to sear it, I would not have expected that to occur in a restaurant that I perceived as culinary.
I will admit, the bread was fantastic especially with the touch of cinnamon in the butter.
My suggestion: put in some sound absorbing material - if the open ceiling is really desired, hang some absorbing cylinders like those found at hockey rinks. Cut back or eliminate the salt.
