Just swung by for an early bite. You order up front and there's a good variety on the menu. They offer a meat and two deal that's pretty solid. Those fried green tomatoes on the side were surprisingly tasty. The BBQ cornbread sandwich was also a hit. Service was quick and the seating area was roomy. Found this cool spot while passing through town. Their menu is massive with plenty of tasty choices. The brisket nachos had a nice smoky flavor and the meat-to-chip ratio was on point. Definitely planning to stop by again next time I'm in the area. Food hits the mark on quality, taste, and price. Loving their signature Slappyz sauce and jalapeño cheese sticks. Variety on the menu is impressive and the place is kept clean. Service might be a bit hit or miss during peak times. The only downside is their limited hours and that older lady at the register who gives you the stink eye. This restaurant is fantastic! We're big fans of their Hibachi day - the teriyaki chicken is amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place! If you want good eats in a cozy setting, look no further! Slappy'z is that quintessential small-town, homey joint you hope for. The food is hearty, tasty, and satisfying. Staff are friendly and eager to please. It's not fast food, so expect a little wait for your meal. But trust me, it's worth it if you enjoy homestyle cooking.
