We took our son, daughter-in-law and three grandkids here last Saturday while boating on Lake Oconee. They are not following any COVID-19 practises at all! Not one employee was wearing a mask. The tables were not disinfected between use. No social distancing at all inside. Because of this we chose to eat outside. The waitress, who was not wearing a mask, was very close to our grandson's face and she stood less than one foot from each of us while taking our orders. The worse part was they had a magician who not wearing gloves or a mask, passing different items around and even blew up balloons and gave them to kids. If you are looking for a safe place to eat during the pandemic I would not recommend Georgia Butts - at all! In hindsight, behalf we should have left, but we had three starving kids, had our own sanitizer and thought we would ok eating outside.

I gave it 4 stars because I don't give five. LOL

This is a terrific local place with very good BBQ. All the other food is excellent as well, and the bar is well stocked. In the summer, locals pull up on boats (they need more slips) and folks eat outside on the lawn. The service help is always cordial and accommodating, and there is likely to be some kind of good music on any given night. They have full bands outside in the warmer weather. When the locals congregate regularly, you know it's a good place.


Highly recommended.

I ate dinner there with my wife. The BBQ is exquisite. However the James Hunter Band was outstanding.
I seldom enjoy country music . This group made it more than just enjoyable. They really made our night special.
