My sister and I had the Buffalo shrimp appetizer and the Chef's favorite pizza for lunch. The menu says the shrimp and grits entree has local shrimp in it and that may be true. That mean a lot to me because my husband is a shrimper and this restaurant is right on the coast where fresh local shrimp are quite plentiful. However, the Buffalo shrimp appetizer definitely does not fresh or local shrimp. In fact, in addition to using tasteless imported shrimp, I'm sure this product was completely frozen - batter and all - just deep fried before serving. It was TERRIBLE. The waitress did not seem to notice that we ate only a couple of pieces but she did ask how the meal was as she handed us the check. To her credit, when we told her how disappointed we were, she took that off the bill.
The pizza was a different story. It was really pretty good. The crispy collards with the cheeses and the pork were great. I would absolutely recommend this.
The service was good and the wait staff friendly. I will give them another chance, but I'm not ordering any seafood!
