I discovered a soul food counter at a local liquor store today and decided to try their baked chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, and green beans for only $8.49. The green beans were particularly impressive, and they offer a variety of other tasty options like mac and cheese and peach cobbler. The bread that comes with the meal, either white or wheat, wasn't as great as the rest of the food, but overall, the experience was delicious and affordable. I can't wait to go back tomorrow and indulge in more of their flavorful offerings before heading to the river walk.
