Amarena means "sour cherries," and let me tell you, when I tasted Arte Dolce's amarena gelato, it felt like a divine intervention to rescue my taste buds from the horrors of mall cabbage. Picture this: I was mesmerized by a cashier's epic battle in Pan-Asian Spanglish, and in my distracted state, I mistakenly ordered double veggies from a chicken grill-definitely a culinary misstep! But after a delicious meal, I wandered over to a gelato kiosk and discovered a creamy tart cherry swirl that was so good it made me rethink my dessert choices forever; I may even start a gelato revolution!
