The food at The Pantry is consistently delicious and made with fresh ingredients. While prices may be a bit higher, the quality of the food and friendly service make it a worthwhile dining experience.

I must say that I was very hesitant about eating at this place. Not that it looked horrible on the inside.....nothing like that. It's just that me and my friend wasn't feeling any Subway like food. It's a cafe/store. We ended up browsing the store and I found some chocolate caramel peanut clusters and my friend bought the buttermilk cookies. I tasted the candy and was sooooo surprised at how good they were and then I tasted the cookies and was blown away! Next came in was our other friends who were deciding on what to eat. We overheard that they had CHEESEBURGER SOUP and my eyes lit up and we taste tested. Why did we do that???? OMG OMG OMG
That soup was the Bomb Diggity.....that means SUPER GOOD!
We ordered a large bowl and so we ordered this exceptionally good sandwich called the Chief made with roast beef...horseradish cheese....jalapeño mayo....Do I need to go on???? Yes!!!!
I got mine on white bread and my friend got pretzel bread and she let them toast hers but I just wanted mine cold.....BIG MISTAKE......LOL
When I got mine, it looked so bland and hers just looked like I'm in love....so I asked them to grill mine and when that occured......I bit into it and I almost fell out the chair because it was sooooo darn good you could slap everybody in Tuscola.
It was history at that point. Then my friend got a side of potato salad and that stuff was very tasty and I mean tasty. Other people thought so because they strictly came in to purchase by the pints. We bought so much stuff out of there it ain't funny. Then we told everyone about this place on our bus and then they unloaded and went there. Mind you they were closing but they said since I sent them they would remain open. We are from St Louis MO and we were on a shopping excursion and not too many places to eat. Very good experience. Sooo next time you're in Tuscola IL please go to THE PANTRY!
