I did the Illinois Route 66 from Dwight to Springfield. The timing was wrong for lunch on the way there, but was perfect for the drive home. I was transformed back to the 40's for a short time, and I was living it too!!! The waitress was pleasant and fairly quick for how busy they were. I got the Blue Plate Special for that Sunday, 3 pc fried Chicken served with Mashed Potato and Gravy with Green Beans....the Green Beans were in the Gravy....how neat and delicious...all for 6.99. Recommended highly!!!

I live in Atlanta and this restaurant is a highlight of our town. Under New management since November of 2013, the place has been a HUGE success. The staff is friendly and very professional, down-to-earth and cares about the customers. Try the Horseshoe! The pulled pork and brisket is smoked right in the back of the restaurant. Try a smoked potato as well! You won't be disappointed!
