Skinners in Statesville serves up some amazing seafood, but they're only open on Fridays and Saturdays. I finally decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by the hot and fresh dishes, especially the broccoli and cheese casserole. The catfish sandwich is my go-to choice, with a generous portion and delicious tartar sauce.

In the past I did enjoy the experience of great personalities, clean atmosphere and nice size servings. Then the eating inside ended. The servings got smaller for more money. A little later, Skinners hours were less and less without any notice to the public. So, I'm hoping that this time around that Skinner's has learn to make it right.

I've been to Skinners a total of 3 times for the flounder sandwich and I've been satisfied each time.

Always well pleased with the food and service. This is by far the cleanest restaurant in Statesville. Anytime they are open, my family and I get food. All their menu items are delicious. ☺
