Every meal I've had here has been consistently delicious, with shrimp and grits always calling me back, while friends rave about the brisket and fried chicken. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff, especially Juan, always make the experience feel personal and enjoyable. I can't get enough of the homemade desserts like banana cream pie and peach cobbler, which perfectly cap off a hearty Southern-style meal.

Simply terrible food. I don't understand the good reviews, I think the good reviews are about the barbecue only which is very good, nothing exceptional but very good. Most everything else is terrible to actually inedible. Worst coleslaw I have ever tried, I couldn't eat it. Worst green fried tomatoes possible. It's like they've never had real ones before and don't know how they are supposed to taste! Iced tea excellent, brisket good, everything else avoid.

Most dishes lacked taste. Gumbo, Jambalaya, Jalapeno Mashed, Brown Sugar Sweet Potatos. Ribs were similar to those you find in the supermarket with sauce already in the package - no rub, no smoke ring, no flavor other than the bbq sauce that was slabbered on. Corn bread was excellent. Peanut butter pie had very little peanut butter taste.

Meh.
