I like the food at steak n shake. Last Friday about 6pm my family went to the Lebanon, Mo restaurant for dinner. There were 10 cars waiting at the drive up and we really wanted to sit down for dinner so we went inside. The wait staff were friendly. The place was about 75% full. We ordered and our drinks were served. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for food and so were everyone else. The tables that were there before us were still waiting for food. We were told that there was a problem with one of the cooks he had taken a 30 min bathroom break and didn't really feel like cooking. We could see that some burgers were being started on the grill but by this time we had been waiting over an hour only 1 table had food the rest had drinks only. We were also told that this had been a problem for the past 3 weeks with the same cook not wanting to do his job. We left and got food at Burger King. I can't take my young children to a place that takes that long and I wonder why one of the wait staff isn't trained to help in the kitchen if a cook can't do it, there were plenty of waiters, at least 5, who were just standing waiting for food to serve.

Wish your French Fries were bigger. I have gotten choked on them several times, but have never had that problem with ANY other French fries from any other Fast Food place. I love the flavor of yours but please make them bigger. With kind regards, Maryann

the waitress did not get our order right and we had to wait 40 minutes to get our salad and then we wanted shakes and we ask another waitress to get us shakes went we wanted them.we should have got a discount not happy with this service and will not be coming back any time soon
